Zoes Kitchen CEO Sees Menu Additions in 2015, Potential For 1,600 U.S. Locations
Zoes Kitchen CEO Kevin Miles says the four-fold growth in the fast casual dining space compared to full and quick service establishments in 2014 will continue in 2015 as consumers look for a better dining experience without having to tip. Miles says the fresh ingredients Zoes' uses, along with being able to have a glass of wine or a bottle of beer, are just a few reasons why customers visit its outlets. Miles says the mediterranean family meals it launched in the third quarter are very popular and he says they’ll continue to ‘build that out’ and that customers will likely ‘see more kabobs and new humus’ on the menu. In addition to opening new outlets in existing markets, Miles says he hopes Zoes will be able to open a couple of locations in Kansas City in 2015. Right now, Zoes has more than 125 locations in 15 states and believes it has the potential to open 1,600 outlets across the country. TheStreet’s Ruben Ramirez reports from Orlando.
