You Can No Longer Watch Fox News in the U.K.
Sky (SKY) has stopped broadcasting Fox News in the U.K., claiming it was no longer viable due to low viewership.
The move comes as the British broadcaster awaits the government's decision on whether to refer its proposed takeover by Twenty First Century Fox Inc. (FOXA) to the competition regulators.
Sky stopped broadcasting the rightwing U.S. news channel Tuesday, Aug. 29, at 4:00 pm in London, after broadcasting it in the U.K. for 15 years, after the news channel's parent company 21st Century Fox concluded it was no longer commercially viable.

"Fox News is focused on the U.S. market and designed for a U.S. audience and, accordingly, it averages only a few thousand viewers across the day in the U.K.," a spokeswoman for the company said.
