Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen on Wednesday said lagging conditions in the U.S. housing sector and geopolitical tensions could hinder economic conditions. The central banker offered a safe speech and dodged pointed questions from legislators -- a sign that she's settling into the new position as well as her predecessors. One former Fed official called the speech unremarkable, but said that may not be a bad thing. TheStreet's Joe Deaux reports from Yellen's hearing in Washington.
