Yahoo! May Disclose 'Massive' Data Breach as Soon as This Week
Recode says the Web giant's so-called data breach could be unveiled soon.
Yahoo! (YHOO) is set to disclose a "massive" data breach of its main service, according to Recode. The disclosure could weigh on Verizon Communications (VZ) - Get Report which is set to takeover some of the Web giant's core assets. An official announcement is likely to come this week, and could have "larger implications" for Yahoo!'s $4.8 billion sale of core businesses. Yahoo! has so far been having a major turnaround year, as CEO Marissa Mayer found new ways to shore up cash through billion-dollar asset sales. Yahoo! shares are up about 33% so far in 2016, but are down slightly Thursday.
