Finally, you may be getting a raise that makes a difference. A Suvey by WorldatWork finds that companies have held pay increase budgets flat at 3% for the past three years. But there are lots of signs that could change in 2017. The number of available workers is diminishing, which is putting upward pressure on wages. And business confidence is on the upswing. With increased confidence comes a greater willingness for businesses to raise fixed costs, in terms of higher base pay.
