New York will foot the bill for much of Friday's ticker tape parade for the Women's World Cup champs, but one expert said corporate sponsorships for women's sports will increase over time. Chris Bevilacqua, co-founder of sports media firm BH|V, said the men's World Cup tournament is a much bigger revenue source for FIFA, but it's wrong to compare the men's and women's tournaments in terms of money or ad dollars. 'I think the right way to look at it is, if you look at the last Women's World Cup, they've tripled the number of sponsors and the sponsor revenue from the last World Cup, which I think is really meaningful progress,' said Bevilacqua. He also pointed out that women's soccer hasn't been around as long as men's soccer in the U.S., and it takes time for a sport to grow in economic power and investment.
