Why Jim Cramer Likes GrubHub Shares
With the rise of the stay-at-home economy, TheStreet's Action Alerts Plus Portfolio manager and Bar San Miguel owner Jim Cramer says he likes GrubHub (GRUB) - Get Report .
Though Cramer says he still would prefer people to eat on location as the food is the freshest and he also hopes to benefit from onsite liquor sales, he said he, like many other restaurant operators, has had to succumb to GrubHub's might. As least for now, it seems likely many consumers would rather have their dinner dropped off at their front doors rather than going out and eating on-site. "The fact is that I've had to cave to the GrubHub's of the world and that's why I recommended it," Cramer said.
He added that his experience in the restaurant business as helped shaped how he makes investing decisions when it comes to companies like GrubHub. Cramer said "I've learned far more from Bar Miguel than I have from Wall Street research," Cramer said.
