Facebook's Libra project is having partners withdraw from the fledgling cryptocurrency project left and right. 

It started with Paypal (PYPL - Get Report) withdrawing last week. 

Then Stripe, eBay (EBAY - Get Report) , Mastercard (MA - Get Report) and Visa (V - Get Report) withdrew. 

So, should investors be worried about companies withdrawing from the Libra project?

Jeff Marks, senior portfolio analyst with Jim Cramer's Action Alerts PLUS portfolio, broke down why investors shouldn't be too concerned.

He also explained why the companies may be gunshy of the project.

"They're still supportive of it sounds like they're very supportive of the project, the longterm vision of it. However, the regulatory challenges just seem a little bit too steep right now and there's just been a lot of criticism around the product," said Marks.
