William Daley, managing partner at hedge fund Argentiere Capital, former Chief of Staff for President Obama and a Clinton Administration Commerce Secretary, discusses his decision to join Argentiere. A hedge fund started in 2013 by former JPMorgan Chase head of proprietary trading Deepak Gulati, Argentiere focuses on volatility, Daley explains. Daley did not know Gulati and his team personally while they were at JPMorgan, though 'I obviously knew of them because they were making a lot of money for the firm,' Daley said. While volatility has gone down in the last 15 months, Daley says Argentiere's strategy will prove itself over time.
