Who Could Trump Tap to Head the Fed?
Speculation has begun to swirl in Washington and on Wall Street about who Trump might tap to succeed Fed Chair Janet Yellen when her term expires in February.
Gary Cohn is reportedly helming the search for a replacement -- and including himself on the shortlist of candidates as well. Considering Trump has picked a real list of questionable people for open jobs regardless of their qualifications, here's a short list of people he might choose.
Newt Gingrich
He's currently promoting his book on the president, "Understanding Trump," and his wife, Callista, has been nominated as ambassador to the Vatican.
Martin Shkreli
Shkreli released parts of the Wu-Tang Clan album he paid $2 million for in celebration of Trump's election and in January called the Trump presidency a "dream for business people like me."
Travis Kalanick
Perhaps Kalanick's bold and not always above-board way of doing business would be an appealing idea for Trump on the Fed.
Warren Buffett
"I support any president of the United States. It's very important that the American people coalesce behind the president," he told CNN soon after the election.
Jeb Bush
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush does have experience in banking.
