The White House announces Thursday a review of its big data and privacy report that looked at how to protect consumers from data-mining abuse by companies. The working group is headed by U.S. commerce secretary Penny Pritzker and counselor to the President John Podesta. The administration says Congress should advance the Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights, pass national data breach legislation and amend the Electronic Communications Privacy Act.
