Have you looking into your crystal ball lately?
During TheStreet's fintech webinar, How to Invest in the Coming Digital Payments Revolution, Dearborn was asked by moderator and Real Money columnist, Stephen Guilfoyle, whether or not investors should consider investing in WEX.
Dearborn broke down what he sees in the future of his company, and where he sees the fintech sector in general.
"It's very much is how we attack the B2B market. It's about how do you simplify the complexity of payments? That literally is the vision of our company. It's how do you put together the payment? It's how do you put together the credit and the financing of a supply chain? It's how do you provide multiple choices, whether that be a card rail or a non-card rail? And then, how do you gather all of the data and use that insight," answered Dearborn.
A bit about Dearborn and our other guests:
- Lisa Ellis, partner at MoffettNathanson and lead analyst for payments, processors and IT services.
- Jay Jacobs, senior vice president and head of research and strategy at Global X ETFs (including the Global X Fintech ETF (FINX) - Get Report ).
- Jay Dearborn, president of corporate payments for Wex Inc. (WEX) - Get Report , a New York Stock Exchange-listed B-to-B payments firm with a roughly $9 billion market cap.
"I think that very much is the future of the payments industry. It's not just a transaction. It's everything that surrounds it, that simplifies what is a very, very complex environment," he continued.
