What's Ahead For Wednesday: Investors Keep an Eye on Comcast
In 'What's Ahead on Wall Street' for Wednesday Feb. 3, investors will get quarterly results from: Merck (MRK), Comcast (CMCSA), Mondelez International (MDLZ) and General Motors (GM). One of the reports that Wall Street will be focused on is Comcast. When the media and entertainment giant releases its fourth quarter fiscal 2015 results, analysts are looking for earnings of $0.82 a share on revenue of close to $19 billion. Both the top and bottom line are expected to increase from a year ago. Analysts in particular believe they'll see improving video subscriber trends. This is largely because the company has been heavily investing in its video product, giving it a competitive advantage over its rivals. On the economic calendar, the notable reports are the MBA Mortgage Applications, ADP employment report, ISM non-manufacturing index and the weekly oil inventory data. TheStreet's U-Jin Lee reports from Wall Street.
