ETFs, blockchain, and smart beta: three of the most buzzy investment keywords in America right now.
Yet, many investors don't necessarily understand how these investments work and why they are gaining popularity.
Real Money's Kevin Curran sat down with Blockforce Capital CEO Eric Ervin to explain exactly what makes these investment vehicles so popular, what sets them apart, and what's coming next for these investments.
The meeting is apropos as Ervin's firm launched its brand new Reality Shares Fundstrat DQM Long ETF alongside research firm Fundstrat, marking Fundstrat's first venture into ETFs.
"We're excited to be working with Fundstrat on their inaugural ETF," Ervin said. "Tom Lee and his team are luminaries in the investment space and there is an incredible synergy between our firms - from our data-intensive investment approach to our shared views on digital assets. We look forward to an innovative, and long-term partnership."
As the name of his firm suggests, Blockchain is a major focus for Blockforce as the firm has launched multiple blockchain focused ETFs as well.
The conversation quickly moved to this topic wherein Ervin suggested there could be a blockchain-based Jeff Bezos equivalent in the future.
