What to Watch Wednesday: Five Below, Vera Bradley Post Earnings
For Wednesday September 2, TheStreet is looking out for latest quarterly results from a mix of retailers. Before the opening bell, women's fashion brand Vera Bradley (VRA) will report numbers and then in the afternoon, we expect quarterly earnings results from discount retailer Five Below (FIVE) reporting after the market close. For the second quarter of fiscal 2015, analysts are forecasting Five Below to earn $0.13 a share on revenue of $184.69 million. There are several reports to look out for on the economic calendar. At 8:15 a.m. Eastern, the ADP employment report will show us how many jobs the private sector added. Forecasters expect private employers to have added approximately 210,000 jobs in August. Shortly after, the productivity and costs report will come out at 8:30 a.m., which measures the growth of labor efficiency in producing the economy's goods and services. Additionally, factory orders report is set to be released at 10 a.m. Last, the beige book, which will be released at 2 p.m., will be an analysis of economic activity and conditions.
