What to Watch Wednesday: Federal Reserve Decision; Alibaba Earnings

On Wednesday, November 2, the Federal Reserve's November statement is released, along with quarterly results from China-based ecommerce giant Alibaba (BABA) - Get Report . Most market participants don't expect the Federal Reserve to announce a rate hike, especially amid uncertainty surrounding the looming U.S. presidential election. Though assuming the Fed doesn't raise interest rates, analysts will be looking to see just how many FOMC members disagreed with that decision. When the Fed held rates steady in September, three members dissented, the most in almost two years. Meanwhile, before the markets open, Alibaba, Time Warner (TWX) and Yelp (YELP) - Get Report release quarterly results. After the markets close, Qualcomm (QCOM) - Get Report , Fitbit (FIT) - Get Report and Whole Foods Market (WFM)  will release quarterly results. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
