An Update on the Coronavirus

As of Tuesday night, there are now over 24,000 confirmed cases and nearly 500 people have died from the virus.

An Update on the Princess Cruises Ship

A couple of days ago, news broke that a Princess Cruises ship had had a former passenger test positive for the virus.

The ship is now quarantined for fourteen days. There are currently 3,700 people aboard.

So far, 10 aboard have tested positive for the virus.

Wednesday morning, a World Health Organization spokesperson said that there is no known effective drug treatment against the virus.

Earlier, a Chinese TV media outlet had reported that a research team in China had found an effective drug to treat people

Let’s Talk Disney

The company announced that it ended the quarter with 26.5 million subscribers. Disney says it now has nearly 29 million subscribers.

On the call, CEO Bob Iger announced that a “substantial array of Baby Yoda products” will be hitting stores in the coming months. He also confirmed that season two of the Mandalorian will be released in October.

However, it’s not all good news for Disney. The company--which has closed its parks in Hong Kong and Shanghai, said that the closures could cost them nearly $175 million.
