What to Watch Tuesday: Small Business Optimism Index

On Tuesday, September 13, investors await fresh data on the state of small businesses. At 6 a.m. Eastern, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) releases its small business optimism index for August, which is expected to increase to 94.8, compared to 94.6 in July. The index has been on the rise since March, reflecting better confidence from small business owners. It is a light day on the earnings calendar, with home décor retailer At Home Group (HOME) - Get Report  set to release earnings after the markets close. The retailer is expected to report quarterly revenue of $9.95 million. The company debuted on the New York Stock Exchange back in August. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
