What to Watch Tuesday: Home Depot Earnings, Retail Sales

On Tuesday, November 15, investors will get quarterly results from Home Depot (HD) - Get Report . Analysts expect the retail giant to post earnings of $1.58 a share on sales of $23.05 billion. During the same quarter a year ago, the company posted earnings of $1.36 a share with revenue of $21.82 billion. Home Depot's performance is an important gauge of consumer health and the state of the housing market. Retail giant TJX Companies (TJX) - Get Report also releases results before the markets open. On the economic calendar, retail sales for October are out, which are expected to rise 0.6% month-over-month.
