In 'What to Watch on Wall Street' for Tuesday December 29, traders will be on the lookout for a few more economic reports. The day begins with the Redbook at 8:55 a.m. Eastern, followed by the S&P Case-Shiller home price index and consumer confidence at 10 a.m. There are a few reasons why the consumer confidence index is important. It's a reading that tell us more about how consumers feel about the overall health of the economy. Economists expect them to be optimistic for the month of December. They're calling for a reading of 93.5, an increase from 90.4 for the month of November. Typically around this time of year, consumers are projected to have positive attitudes.
