Analysts expect the retailer to report earnings of $0.96 a share on revenue of $118.7 billion. During the same quarter a year ago, earnings came in at $0.99 a share with sales of $117.4 billion. Retailers Staples (SPLS) and Best Buy (BBY) - Get Best Buy Co. Inc. Report also release earnings before the markets open, while Ross Stores (ROST) - Get Ross Stores Inc. Report , Williams-Sonoma (WSM) - Get Williams-Sonoma Inc. (DE) Report and Salesforce (CRM) - Get Salesforce Inc. Report unveil quarterly results after the markets close. As for important economic developments, the consumer price index and housing starts - both for October - along with weekly jobless claims are all released at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Plus, Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen is testifying before the Joint Economic Committee of Congress at 10 a.m., providing her outlook on the economy.
