What to Watch Thursday: Lululemon Takes the Stage to Report Earnings
For Thursday September 10, TheStreet notes a few more retailers set to release their latest financial results despite earnings season trailing off. Before the market open, Lululemon Athletica (LULU) reports and then after the market close retailer of action sports related apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories Zumiez (ZUMZ) comes out with its latest quarterly numbers. On the economic calendar, there are a few things to highlight. First, the jobless claims report comes out at 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Economists are expecting numbers to be around 275,000, which is slightly down from the week before. Then at the same time, we get the import and export prices. These prices indicate inflationary trends in internationally traded products. Economists say that lower oil and commodity prices are expected to put pressure on import and export prices as well. Last, the U.S. Energy Information Administration provides weekly information on oil inventories in the U.S. TheStreet's U-Jin Lee reports from New York.
