What to Watch This Week: Federal Reserve Statement, Oracle Earnings

This week, investors will be watching a slew of economic data points, along with the Federal Reserve's June statement and some key earnings reports. On Tuesday, at 8:30am Eastern, retail sales for May is released. Wednesday is a major day for the markets with the Federal Reserve wrapping up its June policy meeting, culminating in its statement, released at 2pm Eastern and a press conference by Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen, at 2:30pm. On Thursday, Kroger (KR) - Get Report and Rite Aid (RAD) - Get Report are set to release quarterly earnings before the markets open. After the markets close, Oracle Corporation (ORCL) - Get Report reports results. On Friday, housing starts for May are unveiled at 8:30am, along with the Baker Hughes rig count at 1pm.
