What to Watch on Wall Street for Wednesday, October 15th 2014

On Wednesday, October 15th Bank of America will report its third quarter financial results before the opening bell in a busy week for earnings reports. After the bank's $16.65 billion settlement in August that resolved legal issues tied to the financial crisis, investors will be looking for its stock price to grow. The costs of that settlement will impact its report. American Express is also set to weigh in after the closing bell. High-profile tech companies are slated to report financial results including eBay, the online marketplace giant. Netflix is another company to watch as it reports third quarter earnings after market close. On the economic calendar, we look out for the producer price index, retail sales numbers, the empire state manufacturing index and business inventories before noon. Also, watch for the beige book which will be released in the afternoon.
