What to Watch on Wall Street for Tuesday, December 9th 2014
On Tuesday, December 9th 2014, we tell you about the three key earnings to keep an eye on. AutoZone (AZO) is scheduled to report its first quarter results before the opening bell, along with discount apparel retailer Burlington Stores (BURL). Also, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will report its third quarter earnings after the market closes (KKD). The sweets company has been facing rising competition in the doughnut and coffee business from larger rivals including Starbucks (SBUX) and Dunkin' Brands (DNKN), but it is showing some signs of a turnaround. Krispy Kreme has been re-modeling stores, introducing new items, and offering a limited-time menu to improve same-store sales. On the economic calendar, we watch for the small business optimism index by the National Federation of Independent Business. We also look out for the wholesale trade measure, as well as the October JOLTS report from the Labor Department.
