What to Watch on Wall Street for Thursday, September 18th 2014

In today's "What to Watch on Wall Street" segment for Thursday, Sept. 18th 2014, we start off with Alibaba Group as it prices its initial public offering. The IPO is highly anticipated and could raise more than $21 billion dollars. On the earnings front, software company Oracle Corp. will report its fiscal first quarter results. Investors will look for progress against its smaller rivals. On the U.S. economic calendar, the Commerce Department will report Housing starts for the month of August. And, the Philadelphia Federal Reserve’s numbers for business activity in September is due out. In Scotland, voters will decide whether to declare independence from the United Kingdom.
