What to Watch on Wall Street for the Week of Jan. 12th 2015
For the week ahead, we take a look at what to watch on Wall Street. The two-week Detroit Auto Show kicks off on Monday so be sure to check back on TheStreet for the latest reports from there. On the earnings front, it's a powerhouse filled week for U.S. banks. J.P. Morgan Chase (JPM), Bank of America (BAC) and Citigroup (C) all release their quarterly financial results. Analysts expect a drop in net income for J.P. Morgan's fourth quarter, after it agreed to pay regulators about $1 billion to settle a probe into the rigging of foreign exchange rates. Other big earnings throughout the week include chipmaker Intel (INTC), aluminum producer Alcoa (AA), and homebuilder KB Home (KBH). On the economic calendar, we focus in on the JOLTS report, retail sales figures, the Fed Beige Book, and the consumer price index. TheStreet’s Kurumi Fukushima reports from New York.
