On Oct. 3rd, the first Friday of the month, all eyes will be on the September jobs report. Investors are looking for positive revisions after weak August numbers, but strong results could mean the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates sooner than its mid-2015 forecast. Other data on the economic calendar include the trade deficit figures for August, the PMI services index and the ISM non-manufacturing index for September. We also note Fairmount Santrol's IPO debut on the New York Stock Exchange, trading under the symbol FMSA. And finally, we keep watch on any ebola developments in the U.S. after the country's first confirmed case earlier this week.
