What to Watch on Wall Street for Friday, October 10th 2014

For Friday, October 10th we look out for three notable earnings before the weekend. Infosys, Fastenal Company, and The Progressive Corporation are all scheduled to report financial results before the opening bell. Progressive, the property and casualty insurance company, is expected to surpass third quarter analyst estimates. Economists believe its multi-product offering expansion as well as solid customer retention figures will help profits. Fastenal Company reported in-line results last quarter, and Wall Street is expecting stronger earnings for its third quarter. Investors will likely be focused particularly on the company's margins and guidance. On the U.S. economic calendar, we watch for the import price index and the Federal budget for September.
