What to Watch in the Week Ahead: PayPal's Very First Earnings

For the week of October 26, TheStreet highlights a handful of companies that are releasing their earnings results. These notable companies include: Apple (AAPL), Pfizer (PFE), Alibaba (BABA), Comcast (CMCSA), Merck (MRK), Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY), Ford Motor (F), Panera Bread (PNRA), Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), PayPal (PYPL), Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCAU), Starbucks (SBUX), Baidu (BIDU), Time Warner Cable (TWC), Exxon Mobil (XOM), Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD), and CVS Health (CVS). Additionally, there are a few reports to note on the economic calendar. The week begins with new home sales and Dallas Fed manufacturing survey, followed by durable goods orders and S&P Case-Shiller home price index on Tuesday. Midweek, we get the Federal Open Market Committee announcement. Then, towards the end of the week, we get GDP, jobless claims and personal income and outlays.
