For Friday December 18, TheStreet is watching a string of companies scheduled to post earnings in the morning. The major ones are BlackBerry (BBRY), CarMax (KMX), Carnival (CCL), Darden Restaurants (DRI) and Lennar (LEN). When the homebuilder reports its fourth quarter results, the company is estimated to earn $1.12 a share on nearly $3 billion in revenue. Both its profits and revenue are anticipated to grow year-over-year. There are several reports worth noting on the economic calendar. In the morning, we have the PMI services flash and in the afternoon, Richmond Fed president Jeffrey Lacker will be giving a speech on the economic outlook in North Carolina. The last report we will get for the day will be the Baker-Hughes rig count at 1:00 p.m. Eastern. Additionally, it's quadruple witching day so expect to see some volatility in the markets.
