What to Watch Friday: Deere, Foot Locker Earnings; August PMI
For Friday, August 21,TheStreet awaits quarterly earnings results from Deere & Co. (DE) and Foot Locker (FL). At 9:45 a.m. Eastern, the Purchasing Manager's Manufacturing Index or PMI will be released. The August reading is expected to come in at 54.2, slightly up from July's report. The strong dollar and weak foreign export demand are pushing manufacturers to focus on the domestic market. Investors will also be interested in the manufacturing PMIs for Japan and China due out Friday as well. And before the bell, the agricultural equipment maker, Deere & Co. (DE) will release its third quarter fiscal 2015 earnings. The company is expected to report $1.44 a share on revenue of $7.18 billion. The Street's Jim Cramer says he's watching Deere on Friday. 'Deere might report a decent number and then talk things down in the conference call,' he said. 'I say, stay away from Deere. It's just to hard right now.' Also due out before the bell, Foot Locker Inc. (FL) is set to release its second quarter earnings. TheStreet's Valerie Young reports from New York.
