One Impressive Stat Citigroup Now Has to Its Name
Here's what to look for inside the company's earnings Wednesday.
Citigroup (C) - Get Report will release fourth-quarter earnings on Wednesday before the markets open. Analysts expect the bank to post earnings of $1.12 a share on sales of $17.3 billion. During the same quarter a year ago, the bank reported earnings of $1.06 a share on revenue of $18.64 billion.
"Citi is in a great position in terms of capital," said Morningstar banking analyst Jim Sinegal, adding that Citi's Tier 1 common capital ratio of 12% is higher than any of its peers.
