What's Ahead Wednesday: Can Ollie's Ring in a Strong Quarter?
In 'What's Ahead on Wall Street' for Wednesday June 1, investors begin the month with a few more retailers reporting quarterly results. Before the markets open, Michael Kors (KORS) and Vera Bradley (VRA) - Get Report , will be followed by Ollie's Bargain Outlet (OLLI) - Get Report which reports results in the afternoon. Wall Street is expecting profits of $0.17 a share on revenue of about $190 million. Both the top and bottom line are projected to fall from the previous quarter. Despite this decline, KeyBanc analysts continue to be bullish, saying the company remains one of their favorite ideas for 2016. Several catalysts to propel the shares higher could include geographical expansion and its ability to protect itself from the volatile consumer backdrop. On the economic calendar, look out for motor vehicles sales, rolling out throughout the day. On the economic front, traders will get the PMI Manufacturing Index at 9:45 a.m. Eastern, followed by construction spending and the beige book. TheStreet's U-Jin Lee reports from New York.
