What's Ahead in the Week: Ford Expected to Post Earnings Growth
In 'What's Ahead on Wall Street' for the week of April 25, it will be another busy week with a handful of notable earnings. The companies investors will be watching are First Data (FDC) - Get Report , Halliburton (HAL) - Get Report , Lockheed Martin (LMT) - Get Report , Apple (AAPL) - Get Report , Panera Bread (PNRA) , Comcast (CMCSA) - Get Report , Facebook (FB) - Get Report , PayPal (PYPL) - Get Report , Amazon.com (AMZN) - Get Report , Dow Chemical (DOW) - Get Report , Ford Motor (F) - Get Report , Chevron (CVX) - Get Report , and Royal Caribbean (RCL) - Get Report . When Ford releases its latest quarterly results, Wall Street is looking for earnings of $0.46 a share on revenue of nearly $36 billion. Both the top and bottom line are projected to increase from a year ago. We'll speak with the automaker's CFO following the release of that report. According to Barron's, it looks like shares could go up at least 25 percent in the next year on expectations of strong auto sales in the U.S. Even though investors are still concerned about China's economic health and its impact on the company's sales, it looks like the automaker is seeing more positives than negatives in the near future. We're also focusing on several economic reports. On Tuesday, we get the S&P Case-Shiller home price index and consumer confidence figures. Midweek, we get pending home sales and on Thursday, we get GDP and jobless claims. Finally, we end the week with the latest numbers on consumer sentiment.
