The Dow Jones Industrial Average finally hit the critical 20,000 level Wednesday. The stocks that contributed to the Dow's march to 20K, since the election, include Apple (AAPL) - Get Report , IBM (IBM) - Get Report , Visa (V) - Get Report and American Express (AXP) - Get Report . Scott Berman, a portfolio analyst with Action Alerts PLUS, said the notion of Dow 20,000 is more of a symbolic development.
"It's a really big day for the entire stock exchange," Berman said. "It really began after Donald Trump was elected."
