Alright, it's a fresh week so it's a fresh start.
Kenny Polcari, managing principal at Butcher Joseph Asset Management, talked to TheStreet about what he expects to see from the Fed at Jackson Hole.
The Federal Reserve will be convening for its Economic Policy Symposium Aug. 22 to Aug. 24.
"So it's not necessarily the Fed press conference like we're used to. It's all about Jackson Hole, which is that annual event that takes place at Jackson Hole. And so really it's gonna be more about broad policy stuff. I don't think you're going to hear anything from the Fed about US interest rates. Where are they going? When's he gonna cut next? Is he going to cut next? How much he's gonna cut next? You're not going to hear that. You're going to hear more broad policy discussion about monetary policy and about the state of the global economy," said Polcari.
