Weight Watchers CEO Resigning, Oprah to Help Find Replacement
Shares of Weight Watchers International were lower Tuesday after the company announced that CEO James Chambers is stepping down.
Shares of Weight Watchers International (WTW) - Get Report were lower Tuesday after the company announced that CEO James Chambers is stepping down. Chambers, who has run the weight-loss company for the past three years, is resigning effective September 30. In the interim, a three-person committee will take on the office of the CEO. The board, which includes Oprah Winfrey, has established a committee to search for a permanent CEO. Weight Watchers shares have lost half of their value since the beginning of the year.
