WebMD Says Doctors Want Marijuana as a Medical Option
Doctors want to use marijuana as a medical option for patients says WebMD.
WebMD recently completed a survey that said 67% of doctors believe marijuana should be a medical option for patients. WebMD Chief Medical Editor Dr. Michael Smith says doctors also wished there were more studies so that they would have more research to review. Dr. Smith says there is a lot of contradiction within the various government departments with regards to how they view marijuana. Smith says it's unusual for patients to be pushing a treatment first before waiting for studies to be completed, usually it's the other way around.
