WATCH: 3 Reasons Why Stocks Slumped on Monday

Technology stocks were slammed Monday following worries over Facebook's FB data security. 

Facebook shares ended Monday's session down 6.7%. Since 26% of the S&P 500 accounts for technology stocks, the broad index declined 1.4%. 

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is now in negative territory for the year.
