A group of political and business heavyweights will attend a celebration in Detroit on Thursday for local graduates of a national small-business program. Billionaire investor Warren Buffett, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein will join the governor of Michigan and others at Wayne State University. They are all part of the Goldman Sachs '10,000 Small Businesses' program. Bloomberg and Buffett are co-chairs of the program's advisory council. The program is part of a $500 million investment to help small businesses across the country create jobs and economic growth by providing entrepreneurs with a practical business education, access to capital and business support services. Goldman Sachs has committed $20 million to the Detroit area. TheStreet's Ruben Ramirez reports from New York.
