Are you itching to get into semiconductors?

Marc Chaikin, CEO of Chaikin Analytics, and Jim Cramer break down the "internet of things" for investors looking to add some variety to their portfolio. 

 "If I want to be in the internet of things, I want to play [artificial intelligence], if I want to play self-driving cars, who am I going to play? It's going to be Nvidia (NVDA) ," said Chaikin. 

Cramer then asked if it's too early to get back into Nvidia, since his Action Alerts Plus portfolio exited their position in the stock a couple of months ago.

"I think if you believe the market's going to rally into year-end, and into the first quarter, which I do...Seasonal patterns are not working--as we discussed previously--as well as they used to. But, still, the midterm pattern is very compelling," said Chaikin. "If you believe [the market is] going to rally, you can stay with Nvidia, you don't have to trade."
