American employers may have finally stopped saying 'You're fired' and replacing it to 'You're hired.' The number of Americans applying for jobless benefits fell to its lowest level in more than 8 years. Continuing claims, which reflects the number of people already receiving benefits also dropped. John Ricco is the co-founder of The Atlantic Group, a financial industry recruiting firm. Ricco says he is seeing hiring pick up which is good and shows the economy is clearly turning a corner. If anything, the normal summer lull is from people taking vacations, wanting to push back the process to the fall. Ricco suggests candidates to get in early and get ahead of others who might be waiting until after the summer to apply. Ricco also tells TheStreet's Susannah Lee where he's seeing most of the hiring happen.
