Walmart Offering Free Pick Up in Stores for Some Online Orders
Walmart unveils a new holiday delivery service as it competes for shoppers against other retailers and Amazon.
Walmart (WMT) - Get Report is offering a new delivery service for the holidays for last minute shoppers. The retailer is offering free in store pickup of online orders placed by six p.m. local time on December 23rd. The retailer also launched a dedicated website for consumers to view what last minute gift inventory is available at their local stores. Walmart's expanded service for procrastinators comes amid a fierce battle for online sales among major retailers and Amazon (AMZN) - Get Report . Walmart is also offering free two-day shipping on more than 1,500 toys starting Wednesday through Dec. 21.
