Walmart Cuts iPhone 5S and 5C Prices Ahead of Apple's Media Event
Ahead of Apple's media event on September 9, where it's expected to unveil its new iPhone, Walmart is slashing prices on the iPhone 5S and 5C.
Ahead of Apple's media event on September 9, where it's expected to unveil its new iPhone, Walmart is slashing prices on the iPhone 5S and 5C. Beginning August 21 at 9 am local time, Walmart stores issued a 90-day rollback on the prices of 16 gigabyte models of the 5S and 5C. The 5S was dropped to $79 from $99 while the 5C now costs a mere $0.97 - down from its previous $29. The prices apply to all colors of the smartphones and can only be used with a two-year service agreement on Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Verizon or AT&T. In regard to the move, Walmart spokesperson Danit Marquardt told us, 'We're always looking for opportunities to provide great technology at low prices for our customers.'
