A top Treasury official may be the next Federal Reserve nominee. Reports this morning say Randal Quarles may be appointed as soon as today as the Fed's Vice Chairman for Bank Supervision. The position requires Senate confirmation. The job was created by the 2010 Dodd-Frank financial law to oversee the largest U.S. banks.
