U.S. Gas Prices Jump $0.13 per Gallon and Expected to Go Higher

Gas prices have jumped 13 cents in the past two weeks, edging up to $2.58 per gallon. Higher crude oil prices have pushed up the price at the pump across the U.S., but the cost is still $1.11 lower than last year's numbers. Los Angeles currently has the highest priced gas in the lower States, coming in at $3.30 per gallon. Analysts have forecast that gasoline prices could go up further, as pump prices catch up to oil. Record domestic oil production in the U.S. has been offset by increased political tensions in Yemen, the release of OPEC's monthly market report and a sharply lower U.S. dollar, all of which have pushed prices higher.
