Unusual Jobs Presidents Held Before the White House
Prior to the White House these Presidents had some interesting jobs.
President Trump is far from the first president to work outside of politics before taking the Oval Office. Teaching political science at Princeton, Woodrow Wilson was the only President to hold a Ph.D. After serving in the Navy, Jimmy Carter took over his family's peanut farm. George W. Bush led Arbusto Energy and later became the owner of the Texas Rangers. Before becoming a Senator, our most recent former president Barack Obama was a community organizer, coordinating local residents and workers in Chicago to push for change in their communities.
