Unilever Reportedly Interested in Buying Honest Co.

Shares of Unilever (UL) - Get Report were down Friday on word that the consumer goods company is reportedly in early discussions to buy Jessica Alba's Honest Co. The potential deal could be valued at more than $1 billion, which is less than the $1.7 billion valuation that was placed on Honest in a fundraising round last year, according to the Wall Street Journal. But considering the talks are in early stages, sources told The Journal that Honest has not ruled out going for an initial public offering instead.
