Uber Files Appeal Against TFL's Decision to Not Renew its London Licence
Uber London filed a formal appeal against the city's transport officials Friday as it attempts to overturn a decision that would revoke its licence in Europe's biggest market.
The appeal, which falls on the final day permitted by Transport for London's complex procedures, was filed in Westminster Magistrates' Court in central London and is expected to be heard on December 11, according to media reports, although the ultimate fate of Uber's operating license in the British capital may not be known for several months.
"While we have today filed our appeal so that Londoners can continue using our app, we hope to continue having constructive discussions with Transport for London," an Uber spokesperson told Reuters Friday.
